GAME DESIGN ADVANCE is a blog that centers around development, culture, and scholarship as it relates to game design. A freelance game designer working in New York City, his recent work of any note was as Co-Game Designer along with Charles Amis of Search Brigade, which was played at the most recent Come Out & Play Festival. He is also the game designer for MTV Arcade’s Wishful Leap of the Ninja and Level Designer for Adult Swim’s Viva Caligula.

CHARLES BERKELEY MILLER
Contrary by nature, Charley likes to explore the game design behind sports in his column “From the Frontlines of the Non-Digital.” He’s a graduate of ITP and works for Kognito Interactive where he designs and writes content for games and simulations that strive to enlighten learners. He also runs Victory Mechanics, which plans to release their first game, titled Political Capital, sometime before Chelsea Clinton runs for President.
